Taka, Dixie, Miss Sophie Grey, and Journey were all smiles as Mayor Marks signed the proclamation.

Three of our members were inducted into the Alabama Animal Hall Of Fame by the AL Veterinary Medical Association along with the AL Veterinary Medical Foundation.
Miss Sophie Grey and Taka were inducted for the work they do as therapy and R.E.A.D. dogs.
Cindy received the Bowie-Heath Humanitarian Award for her work and dedication to training and caring of dogs. She is the founder of HOPLC.

Miss Sophie, Taka, Dixie, Mr. Piper, Malik, and Fritz each represented a different branch of the military as they entertained the veterans at Tut Fann Veteran's Home 11-7-10.
